IFMC-IL is the Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) for the State of Illinois. QIOs work with physicians and health care professionals to promote high quality medical care for Medicare beneficiaries. IFMC-IL is contracted by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to perform the designated quality improvement activities
- Advancing Excellence
The Mission of Advancing Excellence in America's Nursing Homes Campaign is to help nursing homes achieve excellence in the quality of care and quality of life for the more than 1.5 million residents of America's nursing homes by establishing and supporting an infrastructure of Local Area Networks for Excellence (LANE's), strengthening the workforce, and improving clinical and organizational outcomes. The LANE is the statewide organization (IFMC-IL) that helps participating nursing homes achieve Campaign goals, and that provides resources to actively engage nursing home staff and consumers in Campaign activities.

Provides clinical resource information related to the publicly-reported quality measures (QMs) including ADL decline, infections, pain, etc.
- MedQIC Nursing Home Tools
Nursing Home Tools to download and use in your quality improvement work. These tools support the actions to be taken to achieve success with a particular strategy.

Quality First is a philosophy of quality and a framework for earning public trust in aging services. More important, is a renewal of our commitment as aging-services providers to help older adults and their loved ones live their lives to their fullest potential.

Introduction to seven QOL assessment measures developed by the Quality of Life Assessment Project at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Includes questionnaires, validity of instrument, cultural appropriateness and taxonomy of goals.
